Tagging for School Library Use

A successful use of tagging in a school library setting by library staff' would be to tag web resources related to class assignments.  Sometimes students like to search and find their own material, but it can be helpful to students especially the younger ones if they can be guided by the availability of a selection of e-resources relating to the assignment topic.

  1. Yes your right there Kerry. In schools that use 'Oliver'- not Symphony, tagging is done as part of the cataloguing process. And in the case of International Baccalaureate or 'IB' schools there is strict criteria that is followed.

  2. Good idea here kerry. I think one of the key roles school libraries play is in the selection of resources and this should include we based resources
